The American Vote is a static atlas. We do not sell, share, or trade user data with anyone beyond the providers listed below. This policy describes what runs today and what may run if/when additional services are enabled.

The site may use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics (e.g. Plausible) to count pageviews, referrers, and rough geography. No personal identifiers are stored. If analytics are not active, no analytics scripts load. You may decline analytics cookies via the consent banner whenever analytics are enabled.

Some pages may display Google AdSense advertisements once the AdSense account is approved and enabled. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on prior visits and to measure ad performance. You can opt out at google.com/settings/ads. If AdSense is not enabled, no advertising scripts load.

The site may participate in the Amazon Associates affiliate program. Once active, some links to Amazon will be tagged with our identifier so we earn a small commission when you buy through them. The price you pay is the same. If the program is not active, no affiliate identifiers are appended.

If you support the classroom edition or buy a poster (once posters are wired), the payment is processed by Stripe and (for posters) fulfilled by Printful. Their privacy policies apply to payment data. Tips through Ko-fi are processed by Ko-fi and its payment partners under their own policies. The American Vote does not store credit- card numbers or bank details — only the email address and customer name returned by Stripe to deliver receipts.
