About
An interactive atlas of every U.S. presidential election.
The American Vote covers every cycle from George Washington in 1789 to the present — the national result, the state map, the margin, the turnout, and the editorial context.
Coverage is non-partisan. Where the historical record is contested, the atlas notes the dispute. Where the record is sparse — particularly for the early Republic — the atlas notes what is missing.
