Wyoming in 2024
The 2024 contest saw Wyoming line up behind Trump, delivering 3 electoral votes to the Republican ticket. Wyoming ended up on the winning side — Donald Trump captured the White House that year.
It marked the 15th consecutive election in which Wyoming backed the Republican party, a streak reaching back to 1968. The region divided — Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Utah, and Idaho joined Wyoming for the Republican ticket, while Colorado did not. Across the 34 presidential elections Wyoming has taken part in, it has most often sided with the Republican party (24 times). The vote fell within the Modern Polarization — Close elections in a divided country.
In the national count, Donald Trump took 312 of the 538 electoral votes, against Kamala Harris's 226. Donald Trump led the national popular vote with 49.8% of the ballots cast.
